Gift to the Nation

Late in 2019 we celebrated the conclusion of official transfer of archival records of the Australian Red Cross to the University of Melbourne. The five-year undertaking, known as the ‘Gift to the Nation’, was contingent on the skills and commitment of many people, as with all that the Red Cross does.

Transferring the collection to the University of Melbourne Archives has meant that more researchers can access the collection, storage is in our secure repository, and the digital capability is greatly enhanced.
