In 1727 the feast of Corpus Christi fell on 12 June 1727. This work, dated (non-autogr.) 1 June 1727, must have been performed at least once during that octave, 1727. Brief reports in the Dresden Diarium Missionis note that on 11, 13, 15, and 16 June, litanies were sung at 4.00 pm.
A note on the inside cover indicates that this Litaniae de Venerabili Sacramento was performed again in the Dresden Hofkirche by Joseph Schuster (1748–1812) on 6 June 1789; by Franz Anton Schubert (1768–1827) in 1814; twice in 1820 by Francesco Morlacchi (1784–1841).
