See I/C/9/6, where the composer is named ‘Conti’. This incipit agrees with Giovanni Contino’s eighth setting from 10 Hymni Sacri per tutto l’anno: ‘In Festo B: Mariae Virginis: Ave maris stella’, where verses 1, 3, 5, 7 are set.
Stockigt, ‘Musica senza nome’, 48 (32.14), where it is incorrectly listed as being catalogued in 1765 as a score, without parts.
In the ‘Catalogo della Musica di Chiesa’ (c1784) parts only are indicated for a setting ‘à 4 voci à Capella’. Incipit. (III/26/8).
