Remarks
Magnificat setting (G Major), perhaps composed by Francesco Durante, missing. Provenance Zelenka. See Zelenka-Dokumentation, ‘Psalmi varii’, 223. There, the entry under Magnificat No 10 is shown as ‘g [natural] Anonimi’.
Stockigt, ‘Musica senza nome’, 47 (32.13).
In the ‘Catalogo della Musica di Chiesa’ (c1784) a score only is indicated for an anonymous Magnificat setting (G Major). Incipit. (III/27/25).
This is one of six anonymous Vespers psalms in Zelenka’s Inventarium (all now missing) whose entries are accompanied by the letters ‘P’ with the listing and ‘O.’ [Osek] in the margin.
On the tentative identification of Durante as author of this work, see Václav Kapsa, ‘On the Way from Prague to Wrocław', especially Table 3b, p. 287.
