This incipit corresponds with No 12 (‘Laboravi in gemitu meo’) from Caldara’s [12] Motetti a due, e tre voci Op. 4 for Canto, Alto, Basso, Violone o Tiorba, Organo. The now-missing collection of the 12 Offertoria pro Quadragesima, listed in the Catalogo (1765) under Musica senza nome dell’Autore seems to have been a series of re-workings undertaken by Zelenka in Dresden based upon Caldara’s 12 Motetti a due, e tre Voci, a collection dedicated to Cardinal Ottoboni and published as Op. 4 (Bologna: Silvani, 1715).

In the ‘Catalogo della Musica di Chiesa’ (c1784) score and parts are shown for No 7 of the 12 anonymous Offertoria Pro Quadragesima’, Laboraui in [gemitu.] (III/25/12). Scoring given as ‘à 3 voci A. T. e B., senza stromenti’. The incipit (in F Major–transposed from the original f minor, in alto clef) agrees with the incipit of the alto part of No 12, ‘Laboravi in gemitu meo’ from Caldara’s 12 Motetti, Op. 4.
