Remarks
Mus. 2979-D-7: Score copy without cover. Parts are missing.
Title page: No. 2 | Messa brevissima | concto a 4 co’ Strum[en]ti | Reiter, Giorgio di (in pencil).
There has been some reworking in the violin parts adding a galant quality to this work. Oboe[s] (based upon the violin part) are added to the Gloria and Credo.
Mus. 2979-D-7a: Score copy with grey-blue cover (8vo).
Cover label: No. 4 | Missa | Sancta Rosaliae | à 4 voci | con Stromenti | del Sigr Reuter.
Title page: Missa | Sanctae Rosaliae| a 4 Voci con Stromenti, | ed Organo| Del Sigr Giorgio de Reüttern, Maestro| di capella di S. C. M. e M. di Capla| di S. Steffano.
Differences between these two scores occur with tempo marks (the marks of Mus. 2979-D-7 are slower), solo and tutti indications, scoring (oboes are added to Mus. 2979-D-7). Mus. 2979-D-7 seems be a reworking for the Dresden conditions of Mus. 2979-D-7a. These alterations, together with the number of parts that once existed for this mass (55 parts, one or two sets?), suggest the work was prepared for performance in the Dresden Hofkirche (that is, post-1751).
