Remarks
Two scores are held:
Mus. 2979-D-5: Score copy without cover. Parts are missing.
Title page: No. 1 | Messa brevissima | conc[ert]to a 4 co’ Strum[en]ti.
Mus. 2979-D-5a: Score copy with grey-blue cover (8vo).
Cover label: No. 5 | Missa | Sancti Floriani | à 4 voci | con Stromenti | del Sigl Reuter. Title page: Missa | Sanctae Floriani | a 4 Voci con Stromenti, | ed Organo | Del Sigr Giorgio de Reüttern, Maestro | di Cappella di S. C. M. e M. di Capla | di S. Steffano.
Differences between these two scores occur in tempo indications, solo and tutti indications, and scoring. Mus. 2979-D-5a seems be a reworking for the Dresden conditions of Mus. 2979-D-5. The alterations, together with the number of parts that once existed for this mass (54 parts, one or two sets?), suggest the work was prepared for performance in the Dresden Hofkirche (that is, post-1751). Copyist: Matthäus Schlettner.
