Wolfgang Hochstein (Die Kirchenmusik von Niccolò Jommelli, v.1: A.II.2.7, 189–90; v. 2: 64–6.) considers the attribution to Jommelli as composer of this work (Mus. 3032-D-5) to be doubtful. This opinion is based upon the simple treatment of the instrumental and vocal parts, and especially the lack of solo vocal writing. See also Carlson, Selected Masses of Niccolò Jommelli, 8.
