The opening entry of Zelenka’s Inventarium is ‘Introitus totius Anni a 4: Kolberer.’ It is not clear whether Zelenka also held (or had access to) a copy of Kolberer’s publication titled ‘Introitus breves ac faciles [...]’, Augsburg 1703 (RISM K 1310), or a hand-written copy only.
This Introit for the feast of Purification BVM would also serve the feasts of SS Stephen and Francis Xavier: above the Inventarium listing titled ‘De purificatiòne’ Zelenka wrote: De Sancto Xaverio; De Sancto Stephano, and bracketed them together with the remark: ‘simul scrip[ti]’ (meaning the same music could be re-texted to serve a different feast).
Features of this score suggest that this introit ‘De purificatiòne’ was copied by Zelenka c1725-6. In both years the Diarium mentions his responsibilities for both the music during the Xavier octave in early December and for the Feast of St Stephen (26 December)
