Bound score copy in the hand of ZS 0. Blue-grey wrapper for score kept inside the binding. Damaged cover label.
Title page (hands of ZS 0 and Zelenka): B (left) | F (middle) Ex B | Nro 5 (right) Dixit Dominus | à 4 | C.A.T.B. | 2 Violini | 1 Viola | con Organo | del Sigr Ingenieri.
Zelenka’s reworkings include scoring instructions (‘VV’; ‘T’); alterations to text underlay; additional dynamics; added tempo marks and articulations.
In his Inventarium entry Zelenka names the composer of this work as ‘Tomaso Ingenieri’. Eitner (5, 245) names the composer as P. Tomaso Ingegnieri, the Franciscan who published a set of 18 Vespers psalms ‘pro totius anni festivitatibus’ for eight voices (Bologna, 1719). Horn (Hkm, 138–9) agrees with this identification, noting that this work is structured as a number setting in the manner of c1700.
Note the discrepancy between the vocal scoring given here and the scoring given in the print cited by Eitner.
Zelenka writes ‘P’ with the listing in his Inventarium.
Incipit given in Zelenka-Dokumentation, 56, Nr. 119.
