Score missing from Dresden. Zelenka’s Inventarium entry has ‘Po:’ written beside this listing.
The rhythm (not notation) of the incipit given here agrees with the incipit given for a Magnificat attributed to ‘Schmid’ in CZ-Pak. Štefan ([1209] Sign. 1155). Also Stockigt, ‘Musica senza nome’, 44 (31.20). The incipit also agrees with a Magnificat setting attributed to Gunther Jacob in the Osek collection. (Information kindly supplied by Robert Hugo).
On the identification of Josef Jan Ignác Brentner as author of this work, see Václav Kapsa, ‘On the Way from Prague to Wrocław', 267–87, especially Table 3b, p. 287, where Kapsa also finds this setting attributed to Brentner in PL-Wu and A-GÖ, and to Gunther Jacob (Osek) CZ-Pnm.
