Remarks
Autogr. score heavily re-worked by Heinichen. Parts are missing.
Caption title (autogr.): Missa di J. F. Fasch. All Mass and Vespers (unlisted here) settings by Fasch held by SLUB are written on paper originating from the paper mill in Kirchberg (near Zwickau) operated by Johann Christian Hertel. See Manfred Fechner, ‘Zur Datierung von Johann Friedrich Faschs 'Dresdner' Vesperkompositionen und Messen’ 57–8.
Fasch also used this paper for works composed in Prague during the time he was employed by Count Morzin, 1721–22.
In addition to two Mass settings by Fasch once in Heinichen’s collection, another mass by Fasch was held by Zelenka: Missa sine nomine, Inventarium 9/38, a work now missing (?) and not catalogued by SLB.
On this mass setting, see Stockigt, ‘Fasch visits Dresden’, 29–56.
