Inclusion and isolation
Title
Inclusion and isolation
Subject
#covidcampus
Description
Fitting four people and sometimes six laptops on our small lounge room table is tight, as we zoom, skype and write in this new COVID19 reality. The sudden shift to online for four post grad students has led to many conversations on what we have lost through no-longer being able to engage in face to face tutorials, seminars and meetings, talking through ideas and exploring knowledge with our peers. So the feeling as a student in this new space feels in ways like inclusion, yet we are all isolated and separate from our different education institutes, usual support networks and community, some of us have lost our jobs and we pay extraordinary fees for classes we can no-longer attend.
