Abstract
Architecture has been taught at the University of Melbourne since 1861, but it was not until 1927 that the Bachelor of Architecture was implemented, and 1931 that the Faculty of Architecture was established. In 2008, the Faculty of Architecture, Building and Planning opened Melbourne School of Design as its graduate school. In 2009, it began the process of designing and delivering its new building, and in February 2012 it launched the building design scheme.
