Remarks
Autogr. score with blue-grey cover
Cover title (autogr.): a # (upper left) Nro 4to (upper right) | Alma | à | Soprano Solo | VViolin 2. | 2 | Basso Continuo | di Giovi Disma | Zelenka. This must be the fourth listing in the Inventarium (43) which is given as: ‘4: a# : Alma C: solo Violin 3. [?] et Basso Cont. Z.’ br />
Based on the form of the bass clef, the attachment of a accidental to a figure 4, and signs to separate the systems of staves, I suggest the date of c1727 for this setting.
Dedication: A M D G V M OO SS H AA P i R.
Parts are missing.
See Zelenka-Dokumentation, 299, ZWV 123.
In the later ‘Catalogo della Musica di Chiesa’ (c1784) score and parts are listed under the heading Antiphonae: 5 Alma Redemptoris. No. 3) (III/Z/15/9). The scoring is given as ‘à Soprano Solo co’VVni, Viola ed Org.’
