This, the second Catalogo (1765) listing of two late settings of the Litany of Loreto (ZWV 152), was first composed in 1741. A copy now kept in Prague has a part-autograph inscription in which Zelenka dedicated the work to Count Jan Hubert Hartig – a musical offering made to his former Prague patron who died on 29 December 1741. The dedication of this copy reads: ‘L.J.C. Litaniae Lauretanae post Virginem Lauretanam Eccell. DD S:R:J: Comiti Joanni Huberto de Hartig S:C: Regiae etc. Majes: Conciliario privato, nec non Regio Boëmiae Locumtenenti, occasione onomasticae suae diei in summa humilitate consecratae, à devotissimo, humillimo Servo Joanne Disma Zelenka. 1741’ (title page). (L[aus]: J[esu]: C[hristi]: (Litaniae Lauretanae after the Virgin of Loreto, dedicated in all humility to His Excellency S: R: J: Count Jan Hubert Hartig, Privy Councillor to the Imperial and Royal Majesty, and Royal Governor of Bohemia, on the occasion of his name day [onomasticae], by His most devoted and most humble servant, Jan Dismas Zelenka. 1741’).
In 1744 this composition became the second of two settings of the Litany of Loreto dedicated to Maria Josepha, neither of which bore the usual closing letters (P i R, or similar) of Zelenka’s dedicatory formula, an indication that neither had been composed to a commission.
Dedication: O A M D G B M V OO SS H.

In the later ‘Catalogo della Musica di Chiesa’ (c1784) score and parts are listed under the heading Litaniae Lauretanae No. 2) (III/Z/15/4).
