Remarks
Score without cover.
Caption title: con strom: Tutti â 4 Voc: | di Sigre Uhlich.
A pencilled sign on page 16: ‘Vivace’.
The identification ‘di Sigre Uhlich’ written into the caption title of this Miserere is not in the hand of the copyist of the score (ZS 2), but it probably is in the hand of Johann Georg Schürer under whose direction this Catalogo (1765) was prepared—as testified in an autograph statement on the final page of the catalogue.
As a former Kapellknabe of the Dresden Hofkirche (from 1732), Schürer certainly would have known Uhlig (who until 1733 had been organist of the Kapellknaben).
On Augustin Uhlig see III/U/3/2.
In the later ‘Catalogo della Musica di Chiesa ...’ (c1784) score and parts are listed for the Miserere setting by Ulich [Uhlig] (III/U/6/9). The scoring is given as: ‘à 4 voci co’ VVni. Oboi, Viola ed Org.’
Concordance
