This incipit corresponds with No 6 (‘Transfige dulcissime Iesu’) from Caldara’s [12] Motetti a due, e tre voci Op. 4 for Canto, Alto, Basso, Violone o Tiorba, Organo. The now-missing collection of the 12 Offertoria pro Quadragesima, listed in the Catalogo (1765) under Musica senza nome dell’Autore seems to have been a series of re-workings undertaken by Zelenka in Dresden based upon Caldara’s 12 Motetti a due, e tre Voci, a collection dedicated to Cardinal Ottoboni and published as Op. 4 (Bologna: Silvani, 1715).

In the ‘Catalogo della Musica di Chiesa’ (c1784) score only is shown for No 10 of the 12 anonymous Offertoria Pro Quadragesima’, Transfige dulcissime Iesu (III/25/15). Scoring given as ‘à 2 voci, A. e B. senza stromenti’. The incipit (in alto clef) agrees with the incipit of the alto part of No 6, ‘Transfige dulcissime Iesu’ from Caldara’s 12 Motetti, Op. 4. (Text from Bonaventura).
