The earliest report of the performance of a setting of Stabat Mater appears in the Dresden Diarium Missionis in 1735: 1.4.1735 [Feria VI. post Dominicam IV. in Quadragesima]: Hora 4 Miserere. Exhortio. Productum: Stabat mater a musicis, benediction.
Diarium Missionis reports upon the responsibility taken by Ristori for the production of the sequence Stabat mater occur on two occasions:
23.3.1736 [Friday before Palm Sunday]: Hora 4. Miserere. Concio ... Benedictio. Produxit D. Ristori: Stabat Mater.
30.3.1738 [Dominica in Palmis]: Passio decantata more solito. Post Vesperas concio quadragesimalis . . . loco cantus produxit D. Ristori Stabat Mater.
