Remarks
Score copy in the hand of Zelenka kept in a brown folder with catalogue label on the cover to correspond with the Catalogo (c1784): Schranck No. II. | Lit. P. 7. Fach 7. Lage | Salve Regina | à Soprano Solo | co’ VVni Viola ed Org. | Partitura sola | del Sigr Picinetti | Incipit.
Title page (hand of Zelenka): Salve Regina | à | Soprano Solo | VViolini 2 | Viola | e | Basso Continuo | di | S: Felice Maria | Picenetti.
Caption: A M D G B M V OO SS H.
Conclusion of score (hand of Zelenka): A M D G B M V K OO SS H AA P I R (the dedication often used by Zelenka, whose concluding letters P I R imply the work was composed due to Dresden court patronage). 1738 Mense Majo.
Zelenka‘s involvement in the score of this work suggests that Picenetti (this is the spelling Picenetti himself used), a cellist from the Dresden Hofkapelle, became a composition student of Zelenka. Perhaps this work is the ‘N. N.’ (anonymous) listing in Zelenka’s Inventarium, 49/14 (without tonality) titled ‘Salve Canto Solo. Violin 2, Oboe 2, Viole e Orga:’
