Remarks

Bound autogr. score completed by Zelenka (final three pages were written after early 1729). From Harrer’s autobiography it is known that Harrer was a composition student of Zelenka. (See Wolfgang Reich in ‘Jan Dismas Zelenka und seine Dresdner Kopisten’, Zelenka-Studien, 110–14). Blue-grey cover. Parts are missing.
Cover title (in two hands): Miserere | à 4 voc: | del. Sigr. Harrer.
Incipit given in Zelenka-Dokumentation, 56, Nr. 117a.
Note that settings of the Miserere seem to have been among the compositional exercises given by Zelenka to his students. See also the settings by ‘G.K’, three Miserere settings listed in vol. 1 of this Catalogo (attributed to Kolberer in ZD and by RISM), Augustin Uhlig (III/U/3/3), and Villicus (III/Z/4/7).
