Red pencil marks indicate instructions to the copyists (‘senza oboè’ at Virgum virtutis; ‘Oboè’ at tecum principium, etc ). In one instance B flat (b flat') is notated in red on the stave for oboes so they do not follow the strings down to B flat below middle c (c'). This is followed by the instruction ‘senz. Oboè’.
This copy is in the same hand as Mus. 2735-D-1 and -D-2. There is a small round sticker on p. 1 of score: ‘34’ (red ink). These stickers are discussed by Bacciagaluppi & Stockigt, ‘Italian Manuscripts of Sacred Music in Dresden’, 152 and Table 5.
