An insert kept with the score, not in Baldan’s hand, is of an alternative setting of the text from the Gloria ‘Gratias agimus tibi – deprecationem nostram’. Composed as an independent through-composed movement of 45 bars, the insert replaces four separate movements of Galuppi’s Mass as follows: Gratias agimus tibi, 77 bars; Domine Deus, 93 bars; Qui tollis peccata, 46 bars; Suscipe, 35 bars. At the conclusion of the insert is written ‘Siegue Qui tollis’. The layout of the inserted movement is ob. 1,2; vn. 1,2; va;. SATB ‘tutti’; with solo sections for the setting of ‘Qui tolllis peccata’, b.c.
