Remarks
Score copy. Blue-grey wrapper.
Storage identification in Schürer”s hand at the upper centre of the wrapper relates to the Hofkirche Catalogo (1765): Schranck No. I. | G. 15. Fach, 1. Lage: No incipit.
Cover title: Nro 2do (Zelenka’s hand) | Laudate pueri Dominum | à 3 | C. A. B. | 2 Violini | 1 Viola | col | Organo | Gb (?left) Partitura Sola | del Sigl. Domenica Gabrielli. Hand of ZS 0.
Concerning the margin note ‘Oss’ in Zelenka’s Inventarium: Apart from the CZ-Pak listing (see below), I have found no other example of this setting. Barbara Renton notes that the composer ‘Gabrieli’ is represented with one work (the title is not given) in the 1737 inventory of the Prague Kreuzherren. Renton, ‘The Musical Culture of Eighteenth-Century Bohemia’, 542.
On this setting see Stockigt, ‘Vespers Psalms of Jan Dismas Zelenka’: App. 2, No. 15. There is no sign of revision on this score, even though the work was listed in the Psalmi varii with the addition of two oboes.
Horn (‘Die wichtigsten Schreiber’, 164) identifies the copyist of Mus. 2120-E-1 as ZS O.
Concordance: CZ-Pak, 401. See Štefan, ([401] Sign. 383), prov. Görbig. RISM ID no. 550269760.
