Remarks
Bound score (autogr?). Without cover.
Caption title: Litania de B. M. V. Antonio Duni. 1746 | Schranck No. I. | D 11. Fach 5. Lage. Partitura sola.
This location corresponds with that given in the Catalogo (1765).
This score is in the hand seen in all sources of sacred music by Antonio Duni listed into this Catalogo (1765), now held in SLUB.
After the deaths of both August II (1733) and August III (1763) most court records and royal music collections held in Warsaw were moved to Dresden. The music was integrated into Dresden collections. Thus, works by the Polish-based Italian composer Antonio Duni, a Kapellmeister of the Polnische Kapelle, came into the collection of Dresden’s Catholic court church. See Bacciagaluppi & Stockigt, ‘Italian Manuscripts of Sacred Music in Dresden’, 143, citing Alina Zórawska-Witkowska, ‘The Saxon Court of the Kingdom of Poland’.
Note Eitner’s attribution (a common error).
