Although his work is listed in the Catalogo (1765) under the name Giov. Amb. BISSONI, the composer, according to Eitner, is Antonio BISSONI (who is listed with several sacred works in RISM Biblioline). Eitner states that two Credo settings by Antonio Bissoni ‘a 8 voci c. 2 V. Va ed Org.’ with scores and parts were held by the Dresden Catholic court church. However, the incipit of this Credo (Mus. 2682-D-1) corresponds with the Credo of the 'Messa terza' in the edition held by SLUB: D-Dl, Mus. 2361-D-1.
