Description

Stone relief carvings for either side of the main portal of the cemetery chapel, depicting a classically-robed man in a ploughed field, on one side sowing seed and on the other side reaping the harvest with a small scythe. Above him are symbols of a sand-timer and a P with an X (possibly referring to 'pax' or peace). At the base of each carving is a carved vase of flowers.
