Abstract

The Joseph Reed facade formed part of the Bank of New South Wales in Collins Street, Melbourne. The bank was demolished in 1932, but the Joseph Reed-designed facade was presented to the University of Melbourne. The facade was incorporated into the Old Commerce building, which was demolished in 2013 to make way for the ABP new building. The Joseph Reed facade was retained and incorporated into the new design.
