Description An account of the resource The Kids in Action on COVID-19 is an international collaboration that aims to provide a platform for children and young people’s ideas to promote the best outcomes during and after the COVID-19 restrictions. In this project, adult and young researchers will collaborate locally and internationally to find out how children and young people have contributed during the COVID-19 pandemic and create a digital exhibition. Local projects will also engage with their communities to disseminate their findings. We want to work with young people on doing this because we believe that their ideas and experiences are crucial to understanding how to support them during these times of crisis. In this way, we seek to promote opportunities for child and youth citizenship. Additionally, we aim to scale up the impact of young people’s local contributions by connecting them through an international network. Title A name given to the resource The Kindness Pandemic Subject The topic of the resource Facebook group started during Coronavirus Lockdown in Australia Description An account of the resource The Kindness Pandemic was established on 14th March, 2020 by Dr Catherine Barrett, to support people who lives are impacted by COVID19. The group grew to 550,000+ members in two weeks. Kindness won't make Coronavirus go away, but it is making many people's lives easier and bringing people hope. The Kindness Pandemic is underpinned by principles of Intersectional Kindness, or how we look out for people who were doing it tough before COVID19 and because of COVID19. A year on: 550,000+ members, 28 million reactions, 330,000+ active members, 40+ campaigns, 100+ media articles, and a project team of 12 wonderful volunteers. A survey of our group members found 86% said that being a members of the Kindness Pandemic Facebook group improved their mental wellbeing.
