Remarks
Autogr. score in blue-grey cover. On the upper left corner of the cover is written storage information: Schranck No. 3 | [??] 13 Fach 2 Lage | [...] 2 | Incipit .
Cover title (autogr.): Offertorium à 4 . VViol. 2. Viola 1 e | Basso Continuo. | NB Potest hoc offertoriu[m] cantari de Beata V: Mariae, | vel de quae=cumque alia Sancta et Sancto. à Vienna | li 13 Juni: 1716 | di Giov: Disma Zelenka.
Conclusion of the score: A M D G B V H Vienna 13 Junii | 1716.
Thus, this source confirms that by mid 1716 Zelenka was in Vienna. It is unlikely that he travelled to Venice in that year, even though in 1715 funds were made available for Pisendel, Johann Christian Richter, Christian Petzold, and Zelenka to undertake this journey. According to an article on Dresden court oboist Johann Christian Richter, both he and the Dresden court violinist Johann Georg Pisendel were the only Dresden musicians known to have entered quarantine before travelling to Venice in March 1716. See Samantha Owens, 'Richter, Johann Christian,' in the Lexikon der Holzblasinstrumente, 608–609.
See also Zelenka-Dokumentation, 106, Dok. 6; 303, ZWV 166.
In the later, undated ‘Catalogo della Musica di Chiesa’ (c1784) score and parts are listed under Offertoria: No: 2) De B. V. M. Currite ad aras (III/Z/13/12).
