This incipit corresponds with No 11 (‘Peccavi super numerum’) from Caldara’s [12] Motetti a due, e tre voci Op. 4 for Canto, Alto, Basso, Violone o Tiorba, Organo. The now-missing collection of the 12 Offertoria pro Quadragesima, listed in the Catalogo (1765) under ‘Musica senza nome dell’Autore seems to have been a series of re-workings undertaken by Zelenka in Dresden based upon Caldara’s 12 Motetti a due, e tre Voci, a collection dedicated to Cardinal Ottoboni and published as Op. 4 (Bologna: Silvani, 1715).

In the ‘Catalogo della Musica di Chiesa’ (c1784) score and parts are shown for No 4 of the 12 anonymous Offertoria Pro Quadragesima’, Peccavi super (III/25/9). Scoring given as ‘à 3 voci Contr: T. e B, senza stromenti’. The incipit (in DMajor, given in alto clef ) agrees with the incipit of the alto part of No 11, ‘Peccaui super numerum’ from Caldara’s 12 Motetti, Op. 4.
