Remarks

The incipit of this Credo setting in A Major agrees with the incipit of the Credo from a copy of Ristori’s Missa (D Major) as seen in RISM ID no 550248186
There, the incipit is given in treble clef of a Credo from a Missa tota attributed to Ristori held in CZ-ME (Mělník, prov. Sebastian Böhm: RISM ID no. 550248186) agrees with the incipit shown in the Catalogo 1765.
NB: If the incipit given above is transposed to D Major it is almost the same as the incipit given for the Credo of Zelenka’s Missa Corporis Domini in the Catalogo (c1784). See III/Z/ 9/1.
In the ‘Catalogo della Musica di Chiesa’ (c1784) a score only is listed for the Credo (A Major) under Musica senza nome dell’Autore: III/24/13. There, the scoring is given as: ‘à 4 voci co’ VVni Viola ed Org.’ Incipit.
