On 7 January 1747 ‘Amore insuperabile’, with text by Giovanni Claudio Pasquini, was performed by the Dresden Kapelle during a feast given by Duc de Richelieu (the French representative to the Dresden court) to celebrate the engagement of the French Dauphin to Saxon Princess Josepha. (Fürstenau II, 245).
