Remarks
These performing materials (Parti) for Miserere No. 1 by Hasse, are missing from Dresden.
In the later, undated ‘Catalogo della Musica di Chiesa composta di Giov: Adolfo Hasse’, a score (Mus. 2477-D-31a?) and parts are listed for Miserere No. 1 (Fach 14; Lage 1). Moreover, a later version titled Miserere No. 2. (Fach 14; Lage 2), ‘Riformato’, is listed with score and parts. The scoring for both versions is given as ‘à 4 voci co’ VVni. Flauti, Viola ed Organo’.
Of the four scores of this work kept in SLUB – Mus. 2477-D-31; -D-31a; -D-31b; -D-31c – it is likely that Mus. 2477-D-31c was the score that once accompanied the missing parts. This source bears the stamp: Sachs. Landesbibliothek. Depositum der Kath. Hofkirche, and storage information to correspond with this Catalogo (1765) is given on the cover and at the head of the score. RISM ID no. 270000360.
On Hasse’s works held in SLUB, see Landmann, Katalog der Dresdner Hasse Musikhandschriften.
