Remarks
Mus. 2477-E-11: Bound score copy.
Cover title: Hasse, Joh. Adolf | Ave Regina | à Contr’Alto Solo [con strom.] | B dur. 3/4.
Caption title: Ave Regina (left) Del Sig: Gio: Adol: Hasse detto il Sassone.
Mus. 2477-E-11a: Set of 20 parts with cover. Cover title: No. 1 (upper centre in ink) | Ave Reg: | Sigre Hasse (in pencil). In the undated ‘Catalogo della Musica di Chiesa composta di Giov: Adolfo Hasse’, parts and score (with the pencilled note ‘gefunden’ in the column marked ‘Partitur’) are listed for Antiphonae:
1) (Ave Regina; Fach 11; Lage 6). There, the scoring is given as ‘à Alto solo co’ VVni. Ob: Vla ed Org[an]o’
Parts: Contralto solo; Violino I [pri]mo ‘P’ (Pisendel, in pencil, upper right); Violino I [pri]mo; Violino I [pri]mo; Violino 2 [secon]do; Violino 2 [secon]do; Violino 2 [secon]do; Violetta; Violetta; Violoncello; Violone; Violone; Tiorba; Organo; Oboe I [pri]mo (‘und IIdo? in pencil) ; Oboe 2 [secon]do; Fagotto; Fagotto; Violino I [pri]mo (a later scribe: ‘S. L.’ upper right); Violino ‘2mo’ (a later scribe). The pencil mark ‘P.’ (Pisendel?) on the Violin 1 [pri]mo part suggests that these performance materials were prepared before death of Johann Georg Pisendel (1755). The designation ‘S. L.’ (Signor Lehneis) on the later Violino 1mo part suggests at least one later performance as these initials signify Carl Matthias Lehneis who, from 1758, became the concertmaster of the Dresden Hofkapelle.
