Prestami tu soccorso nel mio canto
Acciö_ che narrar possa un caso rio
Che cader fa per tenerezza il pianto;
Se mal vel spiega il rozzo verso mio
Di prode Cantator l'arte non vanto
Ma di narrarvi solo ho gran fervore
Del gran caso seguito a Premilcuore.
Questo fatto terribile d'esempio
Serva di freno ai figli scellerati,
Ed apprenda ciascun il fiero scempio
Che provar deve in simili attentati,
Il braccio Parricida crudo ed empio
Saröæ punito; acciö_ che riservati
Vivan nell'avvenir piö_ cauti i figli
Fede prestando ai miei saggi consigli.
In Premilcuore un Artigian vivea
Che Niccola Bertoni si chiamava,
Unico Figlio al mondo egli tenea
E Carlo appunto questo si nomava
Poco del Padre suo a lui premea,
Che presso il Genitor non abitava
