<text>The Master Plan 2008 proposed nine planning principles for future development, which articulated key environmental, conservation and urban design issues to assist realising the vision, Growing Esteem.

Growing Esteem was the University’s visionary response to global and educational change, which provided a new benchmark for curriculum reform in higher education. It emphasised the on-campus experience for students and the critical importance of developing a significantly stronger sense of cohort or learning community.
