An Arts Education Imperative: New Directions for Sustainability
Newsletter No. 10
19 November 2021

Hello members,
Update on progress

Our team has planned a Melbourne-based, Networking/Research Launch (MGSE/AARE) event as an opportunity to meet with colleagues, socialise in person and further discuss the project. We are excited to report that some of our Masters of Teaching musicians will be performing live at the event.

Monday 29/11/21 6:00pm – 7:30pm, Queensberry Hotel, Terrace. (free!)

To our international partners - this is a live event so unfortunately, we will not be able to see you there. Soon we will be sharing our galleries with you, and we look forward to your suggestions or feedback in coming weeks.

The invitation
We are cordially inviting you to join us to launch our international research project “An Arts Education Imperative: New Directions for Sustainability”. This project was supported by a grant from the MGSE Researcher Development Scheme for 2021 and involves Arts Education staff from the Melbourne Graduate School of Education and partners within the UNITWIN/UNESCO program of twelve institutions across the Americas, Europe, Asia and the Pacific.

The event is a co-hosted event with the AEPR SIG team from the AARE conference over that weekend.

It will provide an opportunity to meet in person and catch up with colleagues (old and new) from MGSE and delegates from The Arts Education Practice Research (AEPR) SIG from the AARE conference. Food will be supplied, purchase your own drinks.

Monday 29/11/21 6:00pm – 7:30pm, Queensberry Hotel, Terrace. (free!)

This event is open to any AARE and MGSE members in Melbourne.

Registered delegates for the AARE conference should register for this event through the AARE conference. Otherwise, register through this Eventbrite link supplied below. Please try to register for this event by midday, Monday 22nd November.
